affordable USA made large folders

The Benchmade Onslaught is $115 but has a 4.28" 154CM blade with sculpted G-10 and the Axis lock. It has pretty good ergos and carries much better than you think it would. The blade is a tremendous slicer, as it isn't very thick stock, has a full height flat grind and a very thin edge. The Spyderco Military is a great knife with an S30V full flat ground blade, one of the strongest and most reliable liner locks out there, but generally costs about $130-$140, though can be found in the exchange here for closer to $100 sometimes. I'd say those knives are worth the extra cash as you get tremendous quality, and to me the Military is one of the standards that I judge other large knives against due to it's great ergos, workmanship, and great combination of cutting ability and ruggedness.

yeah i'm still torn between ordering the benchmade 710 or the military; gotta order it today thought because wife is gonna steal my money :)

Manix 2. Full sized and very capable. Well under a $100. Also made of 154cm steel. Rides low and carries well.

you should definitely get one of the Kershaw storms. One has a 3.5 inch blade, framelock, tanto or recurve and is usually 35. No plastich andles either. SS and griptape.

Not quite the 3.75 blade, but I will throw in the Buck Vantage Pro for a recomendation. Made in the USA, S30V, G10 handles, for around $50-60. Take a look.

I know some may have been mentioned before but here are my choices

Kershaw Tyrade G10
ZT 0200
ZT 0400
Kershaw Junkyard II composite
Buck CSAR-T
Cold Steel Recon 1

Well wife said I've gotta spend my money today or she will spend it. :)

So I have to make my decision between these Spyderco Military Digicamo black blade; Benchmade 710 black blade; and para military digicamo black blade.

Overall I like the military, but dislike the liner lock and tip down only carry. love the compression lock of the paramilitary but don't like shorter blade. Like axis lock and price point of 710 but it doesn't look as mean as the military, and not big on D2 steel.

This may drive me to funny farm. I'd buy both if I had the funds but it ain't happening.

Is the Endura USA made or am I thinking of something else?

Buck 110
Kershaw Shallot
Old Shrade Old Timer if you can find one.
There's also a case slipjoint pattern that size but I can't remember the name. It's two blades (not a trapper) both are about the size of a 110 blade. I'll takes a looks at it when I get home if no one comes up with the name by then.

Nope, the Endura is made in Seki City Japan.

If you like larger folders, don't settle for the smaller blade.
I can understand preferring a certain lock, but ultimately, a lock just holds the blade open.
An inch or two of missing blade length is always noticeable.

(That's what she said. :D)
