Hello BladeForums! Sorry this has taken so long, I know a few of you have been wanting to grab some blocks. All prices are with shipping included this go around! U.S. buyers only because of the laws regarding scarce wood species.
This is the very last of the African Blackwood and Desert Ironwood I'll have for sale. I won't be able to work on any scales until we move to the new house/shop space in six months so I threw in a bit of extra wood that I was hanging on to for myself too.
I accept PayPal G&S (I pay the fees) and ship everything either First Class or Priority (depending on the speed) through the USPS and provide tracking.
First up are the oversized Desert Ironwood blocks! These blocks measure roughly 5" x 1-5/8" x 1-1/4" (they are actually a bit larger than that). In many cases I am able to turn the blocks sideways and easily get two sets of scales out of a block. These are some really good sized blocks!
The blocks have great color and contrast with lots of dark layers throughout. Desert Ironwood is absolutely beautiful wood and insanely durable, no stabilization needed! Anchor Seal has been applied to the ends of the blocks and they have been drying for about a year with good airflow. They are in great shape!

Next up we have the African Blackwood! I have a bunch of different sizes so I'm going to try to group them together for pricing purposes. All wood will be at least the size listed, but in most cases will be larger. This is some really high quality, beautiful wood and it's been drying for a couple of decades. African Blackwood, like Desert Ironwood is insanely durable (and heavy). No stabilization is needed! As far as I'm concerned African Blackwood is the most beautiful wood I've come across.
I have a decent amount of it, so if you purchase more than a few pieces, I'll cut you a deal since shipping will be cheaper.
There is a bit of wax and tooling marks on the wood, but to give you an idea of what it looks like when it's cleaned up... Here's after wiping down a piece with a damp cloth.
And here's a few pieces after spending a few seconds on the belt sander with some 80 grit. This stuff is absolutely gorgeous!
The first group are some pretty normal sized blocks. These blocks measure at least 4.75" to 5.25" x 1.5" x 1" with a few slightly larger. I have aboutfourteen eight of these left.

The next three groups are a bit larger and would work great for making two sets of scales per block or for larger hidden tang knives.
