African Elephant Tusk Value

My father has one five foot (measured on the curve) african elephant tusk. He is trying to get a value on this tusk. This is pre ban ivory. He worked in the US foreign service and imported it as part of his household effects in 1966. It is in his house in Florida now and he needs a value for insurance purposes. I figured that custom knife makers might know the value since they buy ivory for handles of knives. The tusk weighs 52 pounds. Thanks.

Retail value is about $100.00 a pound for "A" grade, more if it it extra nice and less for lower grades.
