After a year or so - my BK2 mods

Good looking setup. I am always a fan when people modify the stock sheath to suit rather than go the custom route. I too keep my BK2 in the stock sheath (with some added modifications of course). Something to consider, if those are 10-24 socket head cap screws, then the allen wrench that fits them should fit well in this kind of setup like I have on my BK2. (And it gives you an excuse for further tinkering.) ;)

The space between the belt loop attachment and the sheath itself fits those nylon spacers very nicely (You have to cut a notch in the nylon spacers to fit.)

Welcome! Great ideas and execution.... Nice to see that the possibilities with this classic are only limited by the imagination. Looking forward to your next idea :)

Great mods. I just started playing with one of mine.. I like you retention design..

Be carefull Hoostas. When you start necrothreading things three months or older, the villagers start getting restless to put it nicely. Try to add usefull content to keep them happy. You dont want a pitch fork in the bum :D

I filled the cutouts in the tang as well as the hollows in the micarta handles with pratley steel putty.

I'm no expert, but seeing as how the skeleton tang version had different temper on handle and blade, would the handle area not need to 'flex' a little as part of its strength characteristic, rather than the full full tang version which uses a different method? So would filling the gaps not change its characteristics and handling of all the different knife circumstances? I know it is a weight (and material saving) than version 1, so can see why they did the change, but I thought there was more 'method' to the change needed and not just just simply adding holes.

Perhaps Ethan maybe able to shed some light.
