Awright, so here's a scenario for ya'....

Doomsday done come an' gone- the nukes were launched, the Islamo Fascist Zombies from China were loosed, and the cork done been popped on all of them nasty gasses and chemicals.

All them countless hours you've spent postin' on the gun and knife forums about just such a scenario have paid off. It just so happens that all of this happened while you were in the den perfecting a post to REALLY give someone the what fer about a Sebenza, Strider, Emerson, Liner Lock, or tip up carry knife, and were so absorbed in your mission you didn't even notice the mushroom clouds on the horizon or the Chinese speaking flesh eating zombies roaming your neighborhood.

scratchin' yer head in bewilderment, ya' figure it's time to pack up the family and a couple of essentials, and move off somewhere a little more rural, away from them darn flesh eatin' zombies. (who the heck was asleep at the border when these guys snuck in anyways?!)

So...after packing up your entire eighty pounds of knife collection, you consider that perhaps you should make get rid of the essentials and make room for some luxury items...food...water...sleeping bag...

After repacking your bag you realize that you only have room for ONE fixed blade knife/cutting tool, and ONE folding knife/multi-tool. What are ya' gonna choose, and why? Bear in mind, you're lookin' at walking a ways, building a home, as well as killin' an' cookin' your own meals.... machete, hatchet/tomahawk, khukuri, golok, broadsword, linoleum knife?

I'm gonna go with a tomahawk made of infi and a spyderco manix. The tomahawk would be useful for cutting branches, clearing a path, scraping bark, and makes a useful fighting tool as well.

The manix would do all the choors the tomahawk couldn't do like fine cutting, slicing, and shaving.

I would take a SAK that has tweezers so that I could keep my eyebrows neatly groomed.

Chainsaw (hey, it's a knife, it counts..), great for cutting down trees *and* zombies (as long as they're not the O'Bannon species from the Return of the Living Dead series)

Kukri for choppin off them Zombie heads.
SP-6 for carvin' my initials in their foreheads!!

I'm going with one of these 2 ;) or both

Busse Argonne Assault Variant

The ones in my pack, Who in the hell would put their knife in their pack. I would be carrying all mine, EKI karambit right pocket, Magnum speedlock, right backpocket, Spyderco native paintbrush pocket, Endura SE left back pocket, Busse NO left side belt sheath, 1st gen Wave+tool adapter right side belt sheath.

so I guess the only things that would need go in the pack would be the tomahawk, and an extra emerson.

I'll play fair. ;)
Out of my current collection, it would be:

Emerson 10
Cold Steel Bushman.

Peace.

My trusty victorinox SAK and an 18" HI Ang Khola. Why the Ang Khola? Cause anything which can break or cripple it won't even leave a smear left of me.

I have a good imagination.
I can easily imagine all the doomsday scenarios that were proposed.

Except one.

Me --- carrying only 2 knives.

never gonna happen.
:D

I'm more scared of the communists in our own country. I believe the fall of the United States is going to be in the hands of all the commie left wing liberals.

My Ranger RD6 and my Strider SMF Tanto. Was thinking about my Sebenza, but the Zombies got me scared.
