I`ve bought aftermarket coil springs from 3 diffent sources, some cost 10.00 and 5.00.The one that cost 10.00 came black in color and was to fit my BM 2000 and other Brandnames didnt fit period so I tried another one of the same same thing happen. Next I order from I different person the coil fit perfect and was twice as strong as the factory it would gave my L-UDT a run for the money , I took it apart and found it to be bent,it did not keep its form. Now the last person sme thing happen fit perfect and was very strong but after I took it apart it was BENT and did not keep its shape, Well thats about it,Thought you guy`s might have different experiense`s let me know?

I purchased some springs (large) for a LUDT -black in color - from pvknife for $5.00 each.
Had the same problem - and they were not to strong (IMHO) to begin with. I have sent a spring to a knife maker who makes his own spring winding tools with the hope he can make one for me. It is hoped that this will enable me to produce springs to my liking.
If it works out I would be happy to send a couple to you to try.

Rich,
I know you've bought some springs from me.I've tested all the springs I sell and have found that the springs that open the knives the fastest do collapse a little, but that it doesn't affect the performance of the spring in any way, unless you cut the piece that goes up through the blade to short and the spring pulls out the bottom. My friend and I tested a spring of mine in his Benchmade 2500s and we opened it up 3500 times over a months time before it broke. That spring also collapsed some and it didn't seem to affect it at all.Ken

Ken I have no problems with your coils besides the little bend the have,Boy the are SUPER FAST. Thanks for the help and info !Rich
