After Sale Lounge

Bullshit. I want @Fonedork in here right now!
That has been the rule in past sales AND this preorder was poorly worded in regard to this particular issue.
I think it was an option in past sales, predicated on the premise that either
1) if there was high demand, a second post would never make the cutoff
2) if the sale actually WAS ‘leisurely’ enough for a second post to get in the cutoff, that meant they weren’t bumping anyone from the opportunity to get a knife.

Those conditions don’t hold with a preorder.

You’re not a lawyer. And certainly not the official CPK lawyer. I’ll wait for the expert.

Even though you don't need to be fast on a pre-order. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ironically placement rarely matters for a preorder as long as you get in before it closes, since order fulfillment is mainly based on what options you pick...

While that may be partially true, depending on what level of options you order. It’s real world practice for the Friday sales. If you have the time, why wouldn’t you try to be as fast as you can to see where you place?

In the words of Ricky Bobby “If you ain’t first, you’re last”. lol, that why I’m always last 🤣

🤣 I have too much experience with this from my Busse ganzaaaa days. F5, F5, F5, F5, F5... I got pretty good at it. I wasn't really even trying today and got #14. Imagine if I'd had the post open already and was F5'ing multiple times per second.

If I really wanted to be top 5 consistently, I'd write a custom script on a Linux box to do it for me.

Internet connection plays a big part of it these days too. Gig+ connections with low latency are pretty much instant if the BF server can keep up.

is writing a script even allowed?

I haven't participated in a Friday sale in at least a year, but I still got it!
