Thanks for the feedback. I was reading that some guys just post like one letter or something just to get there post up then go back in and add what they are actually interested in is this true?

You can stake a claim by merely posting any kind of character which you find on your keyboard; it doesn't necessarily need to be alphabetical, it can be a number or it can be a symbol and even an emoji/meme would do. Unless Nathan states otherwise, his sales are always ranked in this order: first-come, first-served.

Yup. Basically you want to be able to hit the 'Post Reply' ASAP, as there's a tendency for the limited spots to go within seconds. You can then go back and edit the post, to detail what you want.
