Aftermarket Blades?

I noticed on another thread that Nightglock had mentioned ordering a Devin Thomas damascus blade for his large Sebenza. Is this an optional item that is ordered through CRK, or are there makers out there creating aftermarket blades made to order for the Sebenzas? Thanks for clarifying.

This is an optional blade ordered through the Chris Reeve Corp.
I don't believe this is an aftermarket item available, except through Reeve.
 
Yep that definitely is a Chris Reeves blade. I wouldn't dare dream of ordering a blade made from another maker/manufacturer. And yes it's going to be a lot of MONEY, but it'll sure be a beauty. For those of you who missed it, I ordered a large classic decorated 2000 Sebenza with a blue Devin Thomas raindrop pattern damascus blade. I'm expecting in September, and will be sure to post pics of it.

I have a 2000 wood inlayed on the way with a bronzed raindrop damascus blade. Just got E-mail from CRK stating that they were presently out of Damascus and it would be a couple of months more

. I believe I heard somewhere that Devin Thomas had some health problems, anyone shed any light on this?
