Aftermarket scales transform the mini griptilian

+1 on the concept of aftermarket scales transforming the mini grip. For me, you get the biggest transformation with scales that don't mimic the factory scales, such as the Wilkins and AWT. The factory mini grip scales taper down too much for my tastes toward the pinkie finger end of the scale, so the larger size of the Wilkins/AWT style scales in this area are a major plus in my book.
So true that's why I was opting for the Wilkins or AWT if I get a full size. I feel the mini makes for a terrific compact edc, but it's really missing that pinky portion of the grip! It's the compromise for this model on a full size I would want the shape to be a little more hand filling.
If you go custom scale check out Steve Ketchen on the forum. I had one of his thunder strike Kevlar manix xl's. Great good scale maker! If it was a Manix 2, I'd have kept it.

Looks good. I've been thinking of replacing the scales on my full size Grip for a long time.I might need to look at the makers over on the Benchmade forum. I'm not crazy for the colors KSF has for the full size.

I do know they will have more options available in the next week or two including CF.
