Aftershock Bolo

all the satins had dimples, the story behind this one was it was about the second busse i bought. when it showed up and i saw the dimples i just about crapped my drawers.

i called busse's shop the very next day, a guy answered and identified himself as the "janitor"

i told him that this was ugly and somehow it was "unfinished"

he told me to send it in and he would take a look at it. it came back about two weeks later and was satin from tip to stern.

good dealio...

it was only later that i learned about infi dimples and that the janitor had been promoted to the mail room.

to this day i wonder if he still works there

I called the office once post Ganaza I or II and got the Janitor on the line - I had not won anything and was scrapping for some leftovers. I told him I needed to speak to Amy 0 (I did not want to talk to some "Janitor") , but she was busy and he said he would try and help. We had a really great talk and he seemed to know a few things and really helped me out. Got my first SJTAC this way - true story !

What a place - I mean if the Janitor knows all this stuff - just think what AMY KNOWS!!! (the best part of course is that she has a hard time keeping a secret :) )

The Aftershock Bolo has a real interesting story behind it, and its production.

One of you folks who talks with Jerry Might get him to tell you the story after a few drinks, you might even get permission to then tell the story here on the Forums.

Just more History.

I remember selling Skunk his first three knives, I thought this was one of that bunch, although it may have been in the 2nd batch of knives that I sold him.

I originally meant to keep #81 and #83 for my kids since those were the years in which they were born, then give them to them as gifts eventually.

Did not work out.

I just had to put snake skin handles on since Im snake skin crazy.....
Sorry but still cant seem to make pics. bigger.

Daniel. Made your pic bigger. Hope you don't mind. mike biz

Recurve blade, convex zero grind (very sharp), and from what I've read... limited to around 100 made.

The Boss still makes one occasionally. I picked up this variant at the last Blade -- still 0.25" thick, still with a slight recurve, still satin, but -- about 9.8" long and with an interesting grind on the top edge. Basically, it has a swedge at the front and an unusual 'triple grind' on the back half of the top edge. Poor description, but the best I can do.

Here 'tis:

So, in a way, the AB lives on. :)

:)

My CG has a 'penetrator' swedge at the tip, which continues back till the plunge line, I'd call it a broken edge back there, is that you triple grind ?

i think it could win the blade show sharp knife contest

:thumbup::thumbup:

It's my most abused Busse , and all I've ever done is strop it !

It's scary !
