afzelia burl

It stabilizes and polishes well. I like it. I do about 20-30 pounds a year. It can vary from looking like maple burl to a close cousin with amboyina. I cut the blocks at 6X3X12', and get Mike at WSSI to do the stabilizing, Then I slice up the blocks into handle blanks and scales.

i know its really subjective but if you had to choose between thuya burl or afzelia burl what would you choose and why_marekz
