Hope this is the right place for my question? Can anyone tell me a bit about his history? Was he a maker who then went into the catalog biz?
How is the quality of his own production etc.
Thanks

His knives are rock-solid. I just received his Frame-lock Spear Point. It is acutually being converted to tip-up by STR. I swear A.G. Russell must be in good terms with either Camillus or Darrel Ralph because the quality is so similar. He also has A.G. Russell exclusive Camillus. Anyways, the Frame-lock isn't my first knife from him. I have been satisfied with his products.

Nice letter.
Smart fellow !
I bet he doesn't have a condo in Taiwan ...
Hey upChuck Buck. Pay attention ;)

I bought a Spyderco Delica from A G Russell some years ago and carried it around in my pocket for quite a long time, till the clip broke off. Russell says he will guarantee anything he sells forever, so I called him on it...literally. I don't even recall if he made me send him the broken knife, but he gave me purchase price trade credit for it, which I then used on a Benchmade Leopard. He is a bit pricy, but stands by his word.

Thanks for the responses.
