I've run out of room in my cutlery collection file cabinet and need to make some space.
Years ago, I was in a Loveless style Hunter collector frenzy and also added this AG Russell Drop Point Hunter to my collection. (I purchased the knife directly from AG Russell through their "Russell's for Men" catalog in October 2005.)
This knife is the last piece from my collection that is a Loveless style knife.
This knife has:
Handle of brown rucarta with black liners, and blade steel of ATS-34. Knife made in Seki, Japan.
Original box, sheath, beige paper wrapping, and cardboard blade sheath
The knife has never been used nor sharpened
Please note that this knife was sold by AG Russell as a SECOND and as such, they placed a very small notch in the ricasso. When I initially received the knife, I carefully examined it all over and could not (and still cannot) see why it was considered by AG Russell to be a SECOND. There were and are no flaws.
The knife's guard in the pics below look smudged - that is just the protective oil that is on the guard. I just removed it and the guard is shiny and unblemished.
And, please pardon the lint in the pics...
