AG Russell's new knife to support veterans!

Nice concept. A shame it's made in China.

Wow, it onl took a couple of posts for it to come up this time. Way to go GronK. Forget that it's a steal and for a great cause, let's whine about where it's made.....

For the record, way to go AG!

Sheesh. And after I didn't even complain about the Arkansas flag.

Who else can make a knife, even average quality, for ten bucks? AG is donating $10 from each knife sale; that's 50% of the price.

I love AG's General Purpose blade shape, and the oval opening hole. Lanyard hole is a nice touch too. The slender design of the FeatherLite is perfect, and I'm hoping for similar in this knife. I could care less about the etch and the Arkansas flag, but the red color will be a better choice for hiking and working outdoors.

I'll be ordering two - one for the collection and one to carry.

It is to benefit veterans attending the University of Arkansas after all. ;)

I used to live so close to there that I sold 'spaces' in my yard for Razorback games.

And yet there are 50 states, aren't there? And bazillions of veterans not getting any benefit from this knife or the jobs that might be created by producing on shore. Just saying. . . . .

Very cool of him to do...shame I don't find the knife appealing at all. Rather just donate the $10 directly.

Indeed. If we had the veterans painstakingly handcraft these knives, we'd be supporting them directly and keeping our jobs away from RED COMMUNIST CHINA.

In all seriousness, how much money do you think this is going to raise? I feel like if AGR tried to raise funds for ALL of the veterans, they'd be spending a good chunk of the money just trying to distribute it all around the country.

Yeah, this isn't the Wounded Warrior Project, if AGR chooses to support their local veterans, more power to them. If you don't want a Chinese made knife, or feel you should support your local veterans, or the veterans of the entire country instead of just the Arkansas ones or whatever, I'm sure you can find a suitable charity to donate to.

I'm not buying one, too small for me. Minimum 4 inch or I pass. Made in China, I pass.

Nice try AGR. Better luck next time.

You complainers make me want to :barf:! A guy try's to do something for a charity of his choosing, and a worthwhile one at that, and you want to tear it and him down for his efforts. Don't like it, then don't buy one! No need to be crass and show your immaturity about it. Grow up!

Blessings,

Omar

Nice knife, good useful size but small enough to b e carried anywhere. Being a Russell product, I'm not that worried about where it's made, although I'd have preferred Japan if not U.S. manufacture. I applaud A.G.'s effort to help the vets with a nice little pocket knife that has a very wide useful parameter. But I think the state flag is going to hurt it in sales because it will limit a lot of sales to Arkansas residents. I think it should have had the American flag. The men and women of the armed forces served the United States Of America, not a particular state. On forward fire bases all over the combat zone, it was the American flag that flew over head, not a state flag. As a veteran myself, I served this country, not Maryland, or Colorado, or any other state. If A.G. puts a U.S. flag on it, I'll buy one just to help out some vets, someplace.

It's a nice little knife, it deserves a flag that is a little more universal to an American. How about it, A.G.?

Carl.
