Ag S30V Vanguard review so far.

Its measuring 1/8. Maybe the knife I liked so much was a reject because it was sligtly thicker, not sure exactly how much.

I know its not alot and probabally doesnt affect the usefulness. The other just looked nicer. Joe Houser is looking into it because he doesn't think that they changed the thickness. Also what causes a balde to be magnitized? This blade is magnitized.

.05" might not sound like a lot at first, but think about it: that is a reduction of almost 29% from the original thickness. Sounds more significant now, IMO. I am very curious to hear what Joe finds out about it.

Glad ya got good resolution on this KY,,,

The whole time I was reading vinegar, I was wondering if something like Tru-Oil would put a finish back on that handle. I had a few tiny scratches on the rosie grips on my 277 Alpha and smoothed them all down and hit them with a couple of coats of tru oil and they look great.

Anyone else used any tru oil on knives?? I have done a bunch of gun stocks and they come out beautiful.

I started reading this thread a bit late, but as I was, I thought about sanding it down and using Tru Oil on the knife too.

I too have done several gun stocks (not a knife yet, but good idea) w/ Tru Oil. But wood is wood, and TO would work just fine. Then you'd have a personal modded knife!

Well its been 6 days havent heard anything, so I sent the knife back. It just didnt compare to the first one. So I will just stick with the stag AG 110.
