His primary edged weapon is (attached to his H-suspender on his right side, by his shoulder) an Emerson Police Utility Knife with a tanto blade (non blackened) with an offbeat military green regular issue sheath. His other knife that he never used, strapped to his left leg was the Emerson Kandahar (or so they say). Great knife that I wished I could find for less, only sold by one distributor for about $200.

An Emerson Diamonback (or P.U.K, Police Utility Knife with tanto blade), his primary edged weapon (attached to his H-suspender on his right side, by his shoulder), non-blackened with an offbeat military green regular issue sheath. His other knife that he never used, strapped to his left leg was the Emerson Kandahar (or so they say). This particular P.U.K looks like a great knife, that I wish I could find for less, only sold by one distributor for about $200.

Tony, I think you are wrong on a few things with that knife. I have it on DVD and watched and paused and rewound a few times and to me it looked like the regular satin finish PUK and the sheath was definetly black.

Bruce Willis is carrying a Khandahar fixed blade.

Don't forget... Bruce Willis's PUK was the Clip/drop point version.

are you sure? that's what I thought when he was wiping the blood off on his pant leg.

I must have rewound the knife killing scene on the DVD at least 5 times, and as he was sticking it into the mans neck I distinctly saw a tanto front, and if you look closely at the sheath at the beginning of the film, when he and his team are arriving from a previous mission, they are all green. Now, I could be wrong, but...I'll have to go back and see the DVD.

Wierd? I thought Bruce Willis was sticking the knife in the mans ribs. I did watch the movie again, (VHS), and the scene unmistakably shows the clip point blade. Could there be two different versions? I'll have to rent the DVD and look at clip again. Anyway, Since watching that movie, I've taken an interest in that knife and I am thinking of purchasing it.

Tony, I don't know...that sheath looks very black to me. I think your TV might be on the blink...:D Also, I don't even think Emerson makes that sheath in OD. I'm going to watch it again to see if it's a drop or tanto. I'm almost 99.9% certain I saw a drop point...but then again you don't see that knife out ever again.

Yep, clip point in the guy's neck. I have the DVD and a REALLY big HD TV. :)

Survey says...clip point! I went to the Emerson site and they don't make that sheath in OD...just black. There were some pics of Bruce on here awhile back...I'm gonna do a search and find them

Found it! Here's a pic of Bruce...notice the flight suit type deal he has on is OD and his gear is all black.

By the way......

Anyone have this knife? Was looking at one (satin/plain edge).......how does it stand up to the occasional prying job (site lists it as 1/8" thick)?

well, all i wanna know is....

is this movie even worth renting?
i've heard it totally sucked, but i'd like to hear your opinions.

The movie offers no plot surprises, but it's well done for what it is. I like it because the IMT and squad tactics of the troops are very very good--which I realize just means they had a good military advisor, but still--and the reality of the action is good. I like the fact that though they're SEALs, they're not portrayed as invincible, and in fact end up on the short end of the stick vs. the much larger rebel force.

And hey, it's Monica Bellucci hot and sweaty for two hours! :)
