  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Against the law...

Beautiful city, but too cold, too humid and not much of sunny days.
Considering level of corruption of the government and police I wouldn't even try to break local laws.
Stay safe.

I like cold :) but is not always cold, there ia a few months where you can enjoy of hot days. Not much of sunny days but during June and July there is the white nights. .. never dark ;) so compensate the grey and dark days of winters.

About corruption, everywhere there is corruption. I'm from Spain and you can see the Royal family... nearly all thieves and trying to hide money and avoid taxes.

Every country have defects. I just try to find good things about everything to live a better life ;)

Cheers

I have the Candiru, Izula, as well as the Izula II and if I had to pick just one, it would be the Izula II. having large hands, its a no brainer.

A guy in a shop in Russia told me that forget the ESEE 5 since is ilegal and hard to find and buy a Cold Steel SRK. What do you think?

personally id pass (but im one of the members of the CS hate club lol)....do you have any access to Fallkniven products?

I found this in a forum

This is the only one you can carry

the tourist knives are,,
anything that is a knife that is under 9cm , that can be any bladed ool , dagger, ect ect.
or that is over 9cm, but with only a single edge , or a secound edge only for 35% of the blade. this can be any thickness, but must not a have a guard over 5mm wide...
next is knives under 2.5mm they can have a gaurd , can be double edged,, ect ect , but must be thin..
also knives with a point that is higher than the handle,
knives with a tip with a shape that makes the point greater than 70 degrees.
knives that have a downturned tip,, that passes the handguard in its position.
Which of those applies to the ESEE 5? It's a single edge, no "guard", point is in line with handle and is a drop point shape. Not sure about the 70 degrees thing.

Also there are the Condor Rodan and Varan. My spelling may be off. They're both just as thick, much cheaper, about the same performance. I don't know if their handle/blade shape would make them more suitable or not.

I don't quite understand how the ESEE 5 can be illegal while the SRK is legal. It's got a longer blade and a more aggressive overall design (very subjective, I know). Weird laws.

Thank you Lee!!

I have luck that I can go and try it in my hands before buy it. I have big hands so the Izula II will be my choice I think.

Yes, there is some Fallkniven.

You can see what more or less you can buy in Russia in this website.

Brutalica.ru

I was just asking about the SRK to know the opinion of the people. I have in mind the ESEE 5 and I will not stop till I get one ;)

More than 2.5mm
Longer than 9cm

Maybe something else, I don't know.

I will check the knives you said.

Thank you

Yes. I told the seller. He have in his website a big signal that he doesn't sell ilegal knives. .. yesterday he told me that he can't help me to get the ESEE 5 it's ilegal! ! But he offer me a knife with more aggressive look, longer blade and just 0.9mm less thick!! When the limit by law is just 2.5mm. I don't understand.

Anyway, I've contact all the knives shops in Russia and some collectors. If no luck, I'll go to Finland and buy it.
