I have a Buck 119 with an upside down single line BUCK* stamp. Is this a 1961- 1968 knife?

Thanks!

yes it does have red spacers in the grip. the sheath has seen better days.

Thanks Jim. What does the asterick after the Buck stamp mean?

I've check Levines and the book The Story of Buck Knives and can find nothing on the BUCK* mark.

Thanks!

The only thing I would change is that those sheaths actually came out in 1964. Other than that minor change, Jim nailed it.
My theory on the dot is that it was done to signify a change from forged blades to conventionally blanked blades. We are almost certain that it was done in early 1967,which is also the year we started adding U.S.A. to our stamps.
I hope this helps.
