This is an aged looking hunter made from a very old sawmill blade. Heat treated it like 1084. From our "investigations" most of these sawmill blades have speced out to be something like 1080+ 2% nickle or 8670 modified. I know its tough as can be..The blade has a 4 3/4" long cutting edge and is 1 3/16th" wide.. The overall knife length is 9 1/4"..
This one was made for a nastalgic buyer and meant to be "aged"..The curly maple has some scrap marks (old time gun makers scrapped curly maple, they didnt sand it) and is stained with aqua fortis and finsihed with boiled linseed oil. The sheath is hand sewn with sinew and was also aged a little
