So I was playing with the bleach and gun blue finish for my camp knife, and happened to have a san mai knife that was waiting for hand sanding, so I thought I would try a antiqued finish on the san mai. I figured I had not seen anyone do it before, so...why not.
Here are the specs,
The blade is san mai, with a 1084 core steel. As stated, it has been antiqued for a unique and durable finish. You wont be worried about putting a scratch on this one. The spine has some rope filework on it.
The handle is stabilized sycamore. There is some spalting in the wood, and it polishes up pretty nicely. The bolster is black linen micarta.
The sheath is 8-9oz hand stitched and tooled leather. The knife is held securely and draws easily.
Dimensions
Blade - 5 5/8" tip to guard.
OAL - 11"
Price - No longer available. shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.
The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.
