So I was playing with the bleach and gun blue finish for my camp knife, and happened to have a san mai knife that was waiting for hand sanding, so I thought I would try a antiqued finish on the san mai. I figured I had not seen anyone do it before, so...why not.

Here are the specs,
The blade is san mai, with a 1084 core steel. As stated, it has been antiqued for a unique and durable finish. You wont be worried about putting a scratch on this one. The spine has some rope filework on it.

The handle is stabilized sycamore. There is some spalting in the wood, and it polishes up pretty nicely. The bolster is black linen micarta.

The sheath is 8-9oz hand stitched and tooled leather. The knife is held securely and draws easily.

Dimensions
Blade - 5 5/8" tip to guard.
OAL - 11"

Price - No longer available. shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order.

The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.

WOW.If I wasn't saving up to go to the Blade show I would own my first Bailey knife. That one is beautiful

Thanks for the comments. I wasn't sure how this look would go over. I guess it seems to be pretty well accepted.

No, I wont be at Blade this year. Someday I hope to be there, but I teach and it conflicts with the final week of school.

By the way, thanks for the comments everyone.
Burton, I saw your latest post, and that is one fine knife. Your sheath skills show you are on top of your game.
I made this sheath to kind of match the finish of the knife. It has a similar pattern to the blade and has a "forged finish" if a piece of leather can have a forged finish.

It looks like this one will be going to Ohio with me.
