Not sure if I have a favourite shield, gots a #14 coming with boot shield. I like it because it’s different. Also I’ve got a RoughRider with battle axe shield that’s really nice.
I think for me it’s not so much the shield, more how it’s done. First off, much prefer pinned. If it’s glued, it’s gotta be set level with no excess glue dripping out.
On smooth bone or wood, sloppy gaps especially if not filled in with matching resin bugs me, (new knife) but if it’s seamless looks so nice. I love when a shield sits slightly proud on jigged bone.

Don't own this knife anymore but always loved Ka-Bar Doghead shields.
