Hi Everybody,

I had a blast from the bast reminder this last week.

Not all Busse's were the same.

back almost 20 years ago when you bought a Busse they could vary a bit :)

I had a customer request a sheath for XXXlg NICK and since I had just got one for my collection I said no problem I have one in house :)

well, little problem, when he got it, his NICK would not fit ?????

OK send the knife and sheath in and I will see what I can do.

Make a new sheath is what I did, they vary a little ;)

Back in the E-handled and original Basic 3,5,7,& 9 days they could vary a bit.
I had 2 Basic 5 that were 1/2" diff in length.
I used to have to buy a few and pick the longest/thickest of a few knives of the same model.

Since about the Active Duty Days 2003 or so they have been very consistent.
Now a days they are very very consistent

Enjoy the pics.

The advent of the fusion series hailed perfect tolerances. Even the Ergos were pretty consistent compared to the straight handles.

Awesome pics Dave . Those nicks are Beautiful. You make a great sheath and have outstanding customer service. Thanks for all you do for the community. Merry Christmas

I had the same thing happen with my old Moab and a leather sheath maker. Very different dimensions between the early ones and the later custom shop pieces.

I really, really, really, really, REALLY HOPE we get a run of these sometime during O2WP2!!! :D

Sweet Blade Dave!! :thumbsup::thumbsup:
