Does anybody in here hunt or shoot airguns? I have an RWS Model 48 and shoot crosman premier heavy magnums out of it. Its a .177. Just wondering who else shoots and what you shoot, with mods or anything.

Well I think your post should be in a diff place but. I do shoot and hunt dove, squirrel and rabbit with my pellet rifle.

I own 5, Red Rider, Daisy Powerline 901&880, Crossman x1000(I believe is the model), and my favorite the Gamo Hunter Extreme. I used to own a Beaman but I gave it to my brother and he loves it.

My Hunter Extreme came with a 3-9 scope which has been ok. I shoot Raptor PBA pellets out of it and the thing is almost like a darn .22 for velocity. The stats says it pumps em out there at 1250 with normal pellets and with the PBA's its supposed to almost hit 1600 (supposedly). The thing is real accurate.

My Two Powerlines I primarily shoot bb's out of and are my fun guns like the red rider. The Crossman is an ok gun but it has not been very accurate for me, thats why I bought the gamo.

Yeah i used to shoot a crosman quest 1000x but the spring guide/spring exploded in the gun so i ditched that and aquired an RWS from my grandfather. Best gun money can buy imo. I have a tasco 2-7x32mm scope on it.

I got 1 rifle I like to paper punch with. Real inexpensive, but surprisingly accurate. Could have sprung for a more "modern" or "Americanized" rifle but I'm not a huge fan of plastic, and I didn't have alot of money. This guy has no working plastic parts. I believe the end of the cocking lever has a plastic cap, that's it.

~900fps, it'll do decent damage to a 2X4 from 50ft. I don't run a scope or anything on it. I upgraded the spring and re-polished the internals to get it to cock alot smoother and it feels like it has more "oomph" to it. Currently re-doing the stock for a better look.

I am not familiar with that scope. Is it a rifle scope? If it is I would suggest against it I ruined a bushnell 3-9 because rifle scopes are not made to take the effects of an air rifle, it can ruin them.

no, you dont put rifle scopes on an air rifle as the recoil goes both forwards and backwards. It is specially for air rifles.

Beeman or HW 97, in .177 with a Bushnell mildot scope. It's an underlever and like it's sister the Air Arms TX 200 underlever is one of the most used springers in competition.

It's accurate and I practice on reactive targets, like Alka Seltzer, eggs, plastic army men.

Google the "yellow Forums" for the Airgun Forum. Amazing content.

My favorite is the Baikal MP654K CO2 Pistol. Only plastic on it is the grips, otherwise its steel (NOT Zinc)!

I also have the RWS Model 48.

I need to get some good pellets for it as I have never found any decent ones around town (just the junk walmart sells).

Mine does not seem very accurate but I'm sure the pellets are mainly to blame. If I was able to shoot more consistently with it, I'm sure it would occupy more of my time.

I LOVE my Theoben SLR98 in cal.22 with a top end Bushnell scope! $$ well spent if your into it

I have a few air rifles. My favorite may be the Air Arms Pro Elite .22. It has a Weaver V16 scope on it. I mainly shoot CP`s out of it.

Air guns are a blast.

I have a Gamo air pistol that is a lot of fun. It looks like a Walther P??. I'm teaching my 10-year old daughter gun safety with it. It shoots 12 as fast as you can pull the trigger.

Yea I have a Gamo. 3to9 power scope. Mice and rats and birds oh my. Very good guns. Yea and make sure you use the right scope. I blew the cross hairs out of a Simons.

I have one of these too. They are made in China and you can get them for about $25. They are certainly not as refined as RWS but they are much better than I expected. I put a scope on mine (it has a grooved reciever) and get nice groups at 25 yards.

Yup. The stock was pretty piss poor, I ran steel wool over the entire thing to smooth the brown turd colored paint lol. Shaved the inside a bit to get it to sit a little more flush. Aside from looks, I was really happy with it.
