Hey Guys...

Craig....

:) Yaa a little....
However these guns are the lower end of the high end air rifles...

Theres Much more serious air rifles than the ones I have...

Start getting into PCP rifles,, and you are looking at serious cash,, like $2500+ not counting tanks, air refills, carbon fiber bottles and scopes...
Some even go as far as purchasing their own compressors...

PCP guns are Real popular in the UK. Then you can get into silencers and night vision optics.. LOL

Now thats what I call Serious!

Isn't there a FPS limit in the UK? You need some kind of permit/license to own a real powerful gun, even some springers are beyond the limit.

Hey Guys..

4w4..

Yes there is a FPS limit..It is around the 500fps mark..They measure in Foot Pounds..
Here in Canada the limit is 500fps as well...After that you need what the feds call a PAL or what I still call an FAC..

In the UK it is still called an FAC...

As long as there is no criminal records it's not a problem to get one...

Never hunted with one, but I have two pellet guns. One of them is a much older break-barrel Crossman. I also had a (Daisy?) BB pistol I enjoyed plinking targets with. All very fun shooters.

The airgun I use most nowadays, however, is used to shoot people:

...But that's ok, since it's a Paintball marker.

12 foot-pounds for rifles; 6 foot-pounds for pistols. (For rifles that's very roughly 600fps in .22", 800 fps in .177")

Above that, one needs a Firearm Certificate.

I grew up shooting airguns, but haven't had much of an opportunity to really shoot them in the last 10 years or so. Well, I guess that statement is only partially true. I've shot my pistols occasionally in 'basement ranges,' but I haven't even done that since 2000.

Here are my two favorites in my little collection. My 100th anniversary Diana model 34, and my RWS C225:
