Hey Guys...

Ever want to buy 350 Swiss Army Knives in one shot ?

How about 36 SwissCards ?

Or 21 Leatherman Micra's ?

Or possibly 30 pounds of scissors ???

These are all items taken away from travelers from several different airports...

The seller californiagold is actually the California Department of General Services. I had an article that went with it,, but can't find it now,,sorry..

Heres the link..

I was on a flight tuesday morning and they took my Swisstech Micropliers. Just a little set of pliers with tiny screwdrivers. They asked me if I wanted to check it, I told them to keep it and enjoy it. :) Oh well.

Aww, crud! They even take those away?
I lost a teeny SAK to airport security because I completely forgot to take it off my keys before flying (stupid on my part!), and I was thinking of replacing it with a swiss-tech because it was bladeless. So much for that, I guess.

buying those knives is like taking dirty money. I won't do it. Why pay them to continue to steal from the public...? Let them choke on their booty...

Since the new rules are confusing and somewhat arbitrary, here is my proposed solution that would enable people to retain their legal property and still make their flights. If a small legal but prohibited item is found at a security checkpoint the traveller can pay a small fee (say $5), and be given a large padded envelope to address. The legal, prohibited item would be sealed in the envelope, deposited in a collection box, and ultimately stamped and mailed. The government could actually turn a profit from this system. This could be extended to all checkpoints, not just airport checkpoints.

They took my bladeless Sebertech micropliers. It depends on the airport from which you are departing. I had no problem going to San Diego, but lost my tool departing. My wife lost tweezers and a small nail clipper.

Hey Guys...

Actually in the article I had, thats exactly what they are allowing you to do.. Mail your stuff home...

I think the answer to the entire thing is to give everyone a large plastic bag. Then you have to remove all of your cloths and put them in the bag, then board the plane.

This way no one can hide anything. When you land, you get your gear back.:) :)

Problem solved..:)

My luck I'll take a flight with Bull Dyke men haters..:)

I know how this is going to sound, but I would just love to see someone take over a flight with tweezers!

Reason does not appear to be a factor:
My wife's friend came out to visit, and security in Houston broke the little file off of her fingernail clippers ... 'cause that might be dangerous and threatening.

Edit: Maybe someone will bid on her broken nail file.:p

Guys, this has been going on for some time, I just read an article about the most conficated knives at the airport, no suprise it's the SAK Classic.

The thing that got me was that in the interview with the airport people out of CA said that the knive are either destroyed or given to charity. How is that possible when you keep findeing these Ebay ads.

My other question, is it worth $300 to $500 dollars for a barrel of knock offs, and $2 knives?

There are people from all over the country selling these "confiscated" or as they said in the article, "surrendered" knives, they must be makin' money for thier respective charities. ;)

We wouldn't want you pinching anyone to death. ;-) And the lady with the tweezers? She could torture the pilot by pulling out his eyebrows and lashes, one at a time, until he complied with her wishes to take her to Cuba. ;-) These are dangerous times, so it makes sense to man the airports with the stupidest people on the planet.

Actually, I agree with not buying it. It's the people's stolen property, so, the people selling it back to the highest bidder can shove those things up where the sun don't shine.

WOW...I guess alot of people carry sh!tty knives! lol The one with all SAKs is something worth bidding on though...
