Airtight/waterproof storage container recommendations?

5-gallon plastic buckets, aka "pickle buckets." Get used ones at a cafeteria, or salvage ones from paint, or buy new. Water tight and air tight, and curious small kids can't get the lids off.

This style of Rubbermaid isn't air tight, but they do stack and are very durable. The rubbery plastic doesn't get brittle with age or cold. Great for garage storage of gear. Available in different sizes and colors.

For am affordable Pellican case substitute, check out Serpac / Seahorse cases. O-ring seals, extremely durable (we use them in underground mine/ industrial environments), and much less expensive than Pellican or Hurricane cases. It might be cost prohibitive to buy enough of these for large amounts of bulky items, but they'd be great for small or delicate items such as electronics or first aid supplies. They come with or without foam inserts, and can be locked.

Guys, I appreciate the vacuum seal and/or waterproof bag recommendations. I've always wondered exactly WHAT BRAND/MODEL vacuum seal kit would you guys suggest? I think I'd definitely be willing to go this route IF someone could suggest a vacuum seal kit that fits the following criteria. Can anyone make a suggestion based on direct experience?
My simple requirements would be:
-must have large enough AND tough enough vac bags to hold a pair of boots, any garment of clothing such as large jacket or coveralls etc, small tools such as WWll entrenching shovels (these are approximately 24"-28" when folded), and other similar items

-as stated above, must be of a heavy/thick enough mil plastic to not tear easily

-must be affordable (I'm not cheap, and I only buy quality gear, but don't want to spend a ton of cash on this particular item if I don'thave to)
I guess I'm just unsure at this time as I've got zero experience with vac bag storage. Do they make a quality system with large, heavy milbags at an affordable price? I'm sure a million brands and models can be googled, bit do you guys with experience have any known quality recommendations, or any brands that I should avoid like the plague? Thx so much guys.

Oh, as for the large 25 and 50? mm military ammo cans, well, I'm always on the lookout for ammo cans of various sizes, however, I'm gonna source 'em online now, as just recently both of my local gun shops and army surplus stores have literally DOUBLED the price on the small OD green ammo boxes that we've all stored ammo in for years! Can u guys blk they got these damn things listed for $12 ea for the smallest cans (about 3.5" wide ones), and $20 for the larger box (about 5" wide or so). Unreal and unreasonable if you ask me. I'll soon be looking to source them online, hopefully for a better price.
