Hi, Aitor knives are made in Spain (Europe) and although it's a fairly large company their products are very nicely made and have decent quality steel used for their blades.
Aitor is known for it's copies of the famous SAK's and the one Aitor SAK model I have is a solid quality piece. Also they are known for their Hollow handle Survival Blades of which they produced 2 models The Jungle King I and II, these are no Rambo-isch knives but well thought through and cleverly designed compact "survival" packages. The smaller model had a hollow handle made of some Aluminium alloy and a 5.5" blade. The bigger one used some Anti magnetic chromium steel for the hollow handle and had a larger bowie style blade almost 8" long.
They use cleverly designed "plastic" sheaths that hold not only the knive but also a small flat skinner/harpoon blade, rope, sharpening stone, flask of for DEET (larger model) signal mirror, slingshot rubbers slingshot fork etc.
They also produced some years ago a model called Raid Gauloise, this is some endurance wilderness run and the new Intrepid from Buck looks a lot like this original Aitor design.
Keep your Aitor, enjoy it as it will most likely never fail to serve you.
Keep sharp, Bagheera
