The saw on the back of the blade it actually a decently functional one. You're not going to harvest wood with it, but it works better than any other sawback knife I've tried. My brother may not have used his JKII for anything, but that doesn't mean that I didn't play with it while I had it. :D
 
The saw is one of the best i have seen. Very useful . You are not going to felling trees but it works. Aitor survival it is a classic great knife.
