Aitor youth sentiment

your picture is not showing....
until it does lemme just say that
before the hollow handle range
came about, aitor had this "survival knife" series....

also the aitor model 452.176 bowie which
was a full tang bowie with slab micarta handles...

yrah aitor has had some strange models over the years,,,
like the japanese inspired bushi models

Any info as to where one may find a "Bushi Skinner?" Looks perfect for pikal work.

g'day!... procuring a mint product that's probably over 30 years will be challenging.
far as i can tell, the bushi range were not as highly sought after as the aitor survival sawbacks. so who knows? some might still be sitting on the shelves of dusty old brick and mortar stores across the planet.
as with the case of this bushi find
https://translate.googleusercontent...sario/&usg=ALkJrhjb5ptuDY_rkmz8FpYs8pNbpJ9tqQ
imo they might not be ideally "street
capable"; from what i understand,
its has a pretty short stick tang.
also a moulded plastic handle
of which it's structural integrity would
be in question due to the age factor.
plus the blade's stock thickness is
rather on the slimmer side for the bushis
were positioned within the moderately
priced product range.
my guess is that what aging stock left
would work out fine for vintage collectors
so i would be a little more cautious
regarding anything else of a far more adventerous nature which would be
better served by a brand new plastic
handle mora (yeah i know except pikal) :)

Note: Aitor had a bankruptcy a few years back and a lot of their stuff was being produced in China.

Many Spanish brands are sadly taking some production to China. Both Aitor and Joker have done it. However, you can still distinguish what models have been produced in China. ATK by Aitor and JKR by Joker are the lines being made in China.

Thank you so much for your kind reply. I’ll follow your lead. Thank you.

Aitor manufactures in Spain

And if I close. But it opened again

It has been through several owners
That I know of Chinese made is only the Atk.
And I think they haven't been made for years

Saludos

agreed! atk would be joker's budget line of rebranded imports
https://www.joker.es/en/7-Products/4-JKR---Import
pretty much like boker's magnum knives

yikes! my bad. errr yes,
thank you for the correction - jrk imports :)
so was not the atk a lable of pielcu's creation at the time when they owned aitor?
seeing that they are outdoors recreational sporting goods importers, hence the
introduction of tactical folder imports
within the aitor line?
20180529_142820_scaled.jpg

https://www.grupopielcu.com/portal/...articulos.aspx?idscat=1510&cat=151060&catp=15
and now that Aitor is no longer part of
grupopielcu. would it be reasonable to
assume that atk has no association
with the current aitor brand owners?
