I ordered and paid for three knives off Ebay from AJ's Xtreme Indian and Mountain Man Knives totalling $370 US dollars at the end of March 2012.

I noted this purchase here and was going to report back about the knives:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...ian-mountain-knives?highlight=xtreme+mountain

There has been correspondence between the seller and I regarding this matter and I have been promised delivery.

To date the knives have not been received.

At one point I requested a refund which the seller declined to do.

On 06/11/2013 I noted that one of the exact type of knife that I ordered was listed on Ebay.

eBay item number: 231083968835

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HAND-FOR...cW7%2BurqsgB6nIe6L1g8%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc

Part of the listing read "have one ready to go.fresh out of the forge shiped asap"

I emailed the seller saying I would take it.

The listing was cancelled within minutes.

The seller has not contacted me.

I have informed Ebay of this matter

Well this is not cool.. I list my fair share of knives on ebay so I always would check out who else was selling bushcrafters and I would always see him selling. I also noticed that he never actually had a knife for sale you were paying 100% up front which most of us feel is not safe to do. Well thanks for the heads up . I really hope you get what you are owed.

Ah well yes I don't expect much to come from it but just warning others. At the time I thought the knives were made and ready for shipment same as any other deal. On the plus side this is a rare occurrence for me usually I have better than good experiences with sellers.

Well AJ got me for almost $250 for a knife ordered 1/11, to be delivered by 7/11. Gave me the runaround about dead relatives, ATV wrecks, etc. Of course he disappeared when it came refund time, and have never heard from him since.

Well I was just looking at his ebay listings he has sold items recently.. I think it is about time he pays you back.

If payment or delivery was to be my U.S. Mail, contact the Postal Inspectors regarding "mail fraud." Worth a try, especially as there seems to be a pattern.

This thread is 3rd from the top in a Google search.

Oh well that is interesting CF! If via credit card perhaps notify them of this? If by Ebay notify them? United we stand!

I wrote to this gentleman to ask him to take care of the issues and direct him here. This was his response on ebay.

"I personally dont keep up with things like that but somtimes in bisness you cant make people happy no matter what you do ..thanks"

Actually delivering the goods that you promised to deliver goes a long way towards avoiding making people unhappy. He could try that.

Yes Mike %100 feedback on the items he has sold and delivered. I think the knives we ordered are more challenging than say his railroad spike knives. These seem to require a delay which stretches beyond feedback time.
Lol delivering the goods would help yes..oh well that's the good thing about this if somebody searches they find out so there is a silver lining.

I always hear about dead relatives with these makers that not only get behind, but never deliver. I find it hard to believe that that many people are so utterly broken down after a loss that they take months or years to gear back up or even reply to their customers.

I've bought from AJ Mott twice on eBay without any problems. Both were non knife purchases and both took a week or so to arrive. He sent me an extra freebie with one order. He said it was because he sent out my item to someone else by mistake. I never would have known.

I have one of his Kephart knives that I purchased here used. It's pretty nice little knife and sheath combo. I hope your situation is resolved to your satisfaction. I think he makes a good product but it sounds like his business skills need some work. Best of luck to you.

Brian
