Awe man, I ordered 2 yesterday and thought they were ffg but just checked and they are sabre. I wanted them in SR101 since they're smaller, my research leads me to believe INFI is best in big knives. Now I might cancel them both, thanks for pointing that out.David Brown will treat you right!
On the ratmandu, unless you already ordered a few days ago, I think unfortunately you missed the boat on the FFG INFI model. It's not a standard offering, and it's no longer on the site. But don't worry, the combat grade RMD is back up on the site now. The differences are saber grind and SR101 rather than FFG INFI. It's also much less expensive. I have two of the combat grade SR101 RMDs and I love them.
Highly recommend the midnight blue color. It's gorgeous. But really, get any color you like!

Picking the color combo is always the hardest part for me. I probably never would have ordered green on mine but it came in a grab bag and I instantly fell in love with it.A black blade with a black and blue g10 handle. Should look just like the one on the Busse site now, but starting to think a bronze or tan blade would look cool with a different handle... I'm considering ordering two ratmandu's, one for me and one for my brother so maybe I will get to do one of those Color combos as well. Since they're ffg's I don't know if I can resist, should be pretty good slicers since the blade isn't too thick...
Thanks everyone, for all of the responses.
Thanks for
I guess I wasn't very clear, I meant I thought I was buying SR101 with a ffg. The plan is to use it as a slicer, but I'm sure it will be fine with a saber grind.Hey man, no need to cancel!
The saber grind ones ARE SR101.![]()
Also if a recall correctly the SR101 version has a more prominent sweep/curve in the blade.
Infi version is straighter.
I believe JackTheKnifeGuy is right. At least with mine, there was a bit more curve in the BG, and the BG did not quite fit in the kydex sheath that fit the INFI version perfectly. I did a comparison in this thread: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/ak-47-comparison-now-with-pics.1389256/
I initially thought they were essentially the same (except I think no CBT on the BG), but as can be pretty clearly seen from the last picture on the comparison thread (the handles are on a flat, level surface) the BG (top) has just a bit more of a sweep than the INFI (bottom two):
ETA: I got my BG as an "Operation Two Weeks" offer. After the initial offer, the BGs went out of production for a while, and then came back as a regular offer on the website. I don't know whether anything changed between the OP2W offer and their appearance on the website. For all I know, they could have reverted to the original INFI specs.

Cool, looks like I'll be hitting you up for a few sheaths soon.Maybe I should expand on this a little
1st John the Texan please e-mail me if you need the sheath changed out.
2nd I have tried the sheaths on both the INFI and SR 101 AK's and to me they fit fine.
I have sold/made a bunch of them over the years (several 100's of them) and I do not remember anyone e-mailing me that they did not fit right ?
But as I said above if you would like them specific for INFI or SR 101 please let me know.
I have used a SR101 AK to make the sheaths since about 2 or 3 years ago thinking they were very close if not exactly the same.
So what that means if you have an Buy Brown AK 47 sheath from 5 years ago or more it was made with a INFI AK, any of the newer ones are made with my SR 101 AK.
Hope this clears up anything.
additionally on the RMDoooooo doo doo doo's
I ordered a FHFG RMD and hope to have it in the first go around (I have to wait like everyone else) and will be making sheaths with it for those.
I am guessing that my regular RMD sheaths will work fine as they did with the first INFIdu's but would like to make sure.
Thank you all for the kind words and support over the years
David

I ended up stripping, blasting and rubbing down that one. If I remember right, Knifehunter bought that one from me.Love that SHe2![]()
My RMD takes a ridiculously sharp edge but it's pretty chubby behind the edge. When cutting an apple in half it only actually cuts a little ways, then it is more like a log splitter. Lol!Yeah, I guess I updated my pay as you were replying me. Even with the saber grind, this thing still slices pretty well. It's got some good geometry, very utilitarian. But of course, I always like FFG better too.
