AK throwing fun!

Man... Life is hard being a piglet! :grumpy: :p :D

you should call your AK, Franken Kensei with that bolt:D

One thing about the AK is that there is a lot of momentum going around in that piece of steel, when it hits, it really doesn't matter which end it is as it is going to do damage. I threw my SHBM from across the yard once, about 50 ft, at a 4'x8' plywood sheet. Of course it hit butt first, but it went right through the plywood. The furthest distance I have been able to stick a knife is 35 ft. after I put so much more power that my throw is not consistent anymore and I miss much more often.

I should have explained about the bolt. I know you know this Cobalt but some others may look at it and be freaked out. :D

It still just has the normal tube fasteners holding the slabs on the handle. The bolts, or nuts, have that domed shape and fit into the holes where the tube fasteners go. That way, when I hammered them together, they pressed both sides of the tube fastener together to re-tighten it. Good as new! I hope. :(

But I like the idea. frAKen sword. wooooot wooooot! :p

I'd send it in to have it fixed if the fastener comes loose again. The warranty certainly covers stuff like this.... throwing busses is an age old tradition and they can definately handle it. They're not girlie man knives that need to be strictly kept to proper knife domains of fine cutting work and wood chopping. :D

Excellent point. I threw my NO-E after playing with the AK today. I used a different distance so wasn't used to it yet. The NO-E hit butt first and actually stuck into the wood that way. I sure wouldn't want to get hit by any part of a big, fast moving, chunk of INFI!

Cool vids, TL !!

As soon as it stops running, I am going to head down to the large body of water over yonder for some AK_meets_driftwood fun!

:D :D
