You are right, it is the perfect size to keep handy for a little home defense. Much easier to handle with obstacles, furniture, zombies in the way

I had the same thought, but my concern was ceilings.

The handles on the Ruck are much thinner but the picture is deceiving about the thickness of the spine. I just double checked to make sure and they are very close in thickness. It is somewhat of an optical illusion in my pic, I think that the scales on the AK are throwing the pic off a little.

You can kind of see this by putting your pointer from your mouse on both of the spines and seeing how close they measure up (does this make sense)

Yeah you're right.. i used the mouse pointer to measure.. they're the same thickness..

Black makes her look thin.. Tan makes her look fat.
that was a good optical illusion.

That is a good question, I guess the only way I'll be able to answer that is to buy one with micarta handles......great....

Sorry for the slight necro post, but thought this would be the most appropriate place to post;

Could anyone tell me how the ruck fit into the busse line-up?

As far as I can gather the AK was a standard line offering, which should thearetically come back up for sale at some point, whereas the Ruck was a limited run Ganza type affair that may disappear and not be seen outside of 2nd hand sales?

Could anyone tell me the standard costs of the AK or the Ruck?

As far as I can work out the ruck is a smaller, thinner and generally more compact and ruckable version of the AK?

Military Over Run...same thickness, just shorter Blade and Handle. It was in the upper 400s.
