Have to agree. That gray-on-gray (I'd describe it more silver-on-silver) AK has to be one of the most beautiful and all-business-deadly looking Busse's ever made. I don't think it's overpriced at $1K--just, as you say, maybe a bit ahead of its appreciation curve at this point. I predict it won't be long before we're looking back at this and saying WOW, coulda had one for a grand.

Just my humble $0.02.

will

Will, thanks, and true considering that they came with very nice sheaths.

scalesandtails reply reminds me of a guy who offered 10 new-in-sheath straight-handled Battle Mistresses for $400 apiece about a year after Jerry stopped making them. He was derided and laughed off the forums for trying to make money at our expense. Now I wish I'd bought all ten.

I remember that. Back then I could not afford so many and was content with the few I had. Remember those days when we had our little discussions with Les R about these blades?:D

Great memories--those were the days when INFI was just getting to the point of being considered a viable challenge to the finest hard-use custom blades of the day. After going up against the blades of several legendary knifemakers, I don't know that INFI has much left to prove now--except to answer the question of how many blades it takes to slake the thirst of those who are committed to owning the ultimate hard-use knives on the planet.

yes. it is most addictive. You still have your old SHSH/SHBMs ?

I remember we almost had les convinced to go out and buy one, lol

Actually, I finally became obsessed with Basics, to the exclusion of most of the rest. That's one hell of a collection you've amassed there--heartiest congrats.

for me it's the SHBM, but I have one mint Basic9 left.;)

Between the Basics I hold and the ones I've given/loaned to members of my immediate family, we have 9 B5's, 5 B9's and 4 B7's. And I'm always looking for more...these are "collector" blades that get used frequently, seriously, and hard. Wouldn't have it any other way.

But I agree with you that the SHBM is one of the all-time bad ass blades, and I can't think of another that backs it off for pure hell-on-wheels macho.

interesting.....

But considering that there is another AK for sale at close to $1000 without sheath, I thought my price was right one especially considering the sheaths they came with. However, I figured I would have to drop it another 100 to sell and to me it isn't worth it since the sheath alone is worth well over 100. So in the end it was probably a really good deal.

see what your missing.... and laugh on:thumbdn:

ABSOLUTELY KILLER PRICE! If i hadn't just shelled out slightly more for one i would be all over it myself.Even though i paid more (had aluminium handle though) i still considered it a steal at the price asked and i didn't want to be the only kid on the block without one, grab one while you can!!!!If these damned ASH's hadn't got my attention i would be picking up more of them.

thought i hit "QUOTE" on steelwhores "2 for $1000"! thought it was hilarious! The price was close to right! thats why i opened post, im looking for another. No bad intended! when my bad is intended, its obvious (well at least if you have been drinkin heavily)LOL! RELAX! some of you guys sure are quick to cannibalize another hog!!!!been around the forum a few years now, and busse/swamprat longer. the old guard i.e. cobalt/will york are classy guys who invite folks to take a look are willing to share knowledge about infi etc. new school punks are quick to talk chit and are giving the trough a bad rap! STFUP FNG!!!! Sorry, cobalt for the long response on your thread and again, no bad intentions toward you! if you would like to sell, put it back up as im interested!! thanks

Mint with that color combo, then throw in that sheath, I know if you had left it on here for a few it would have sold. (especially with Tyrkon posting all his video's of how tough and useable they actually are)
