Yes it is a Busse Custom Shop peice, and you can't get them anymore.
And yes, the DE was made in Maine. I looked at the catalog and wow, it was printed in 1996. Are there any benifits to having an older one made in the USA or having one of the newer ones that are made overseas?

Yeah, I thought a .500 Smith & Wesson would be a good handgun to start with, but I decided to go with a .454 Casull instead.

When I read the title, it made me cringe, as I expected to see pix of DE chopped with AK.

P.S. Check out DE FAQ, DE is a different kindda gun and requires more care than average handgun.
