Yes it is a Busse Custom Shop peice, and you can't get them anymore.

And yes, the DE was made in Maine. I looked at the catalog and wow, it was printed in 1996. Are there any benifits to having an older one made in the USA or having one of the newer ones that are made overseas?

That thing is sweet. The Desert Eagle is an awesome gun too. I have had a couple over the years and I love them.

Hm. Doubt there are any benefits to either, but the originals were made in Israeal, and then they moved to Maine, and now it's back overseas.

Interesting, I will look into it further one of these days.

Did you buy it brand new? That would be neat to get a mid 90's model, mint.

Nice blades... I was never a fan of the DE pistols. Not very reliable and not a 'serious' pistol in my opinion. Might be good for plinking tho.

Your first handgun is a Desert Eagle?! Good grief! That adds a whole new meaning to "go big or go home!"

Yeah, I thought a .500 Smith & Wesson would be a good handgun to start with, but I decided to go with a .454 Casull instead.:D

Yeah right! My first handgun is a .380 acp.

I must say. I'm jealous. Nice toys you have there!

Funny post. My first one was a .380 also, a bersa. It worked great but I had no training and had not shot a gun in a while and was using a revolver grip and chewed up my thumb.

That right there is a ZOMBIE slaying duo!!! I need to get an AK.... Damn Zombies have been getting into the roses at night!! :)

Puts my Glock 23 and Millie to shame. Please, please tell you me you're 8 feet tall and can C.C those monsters :D

I got the the Desert Eagle with the box and all paperwork. This is one of those that were made in the US for a very short period of time. I called Magnum Research and they said it was probably made in 1998. I'm looking at the catalog from 1996 that came with it and the prices have gone up a lot since then.
O and I doubt I ever use either one, it's good to have just in case :)

When I read the title, it made me cringe, as I expected to see pix of DE chopped with AK.
Well, glad to see things are better than anticipated :)

P.S. Check out DE FAQ, DE is a different kindda gun and requires more care than average handgun.

I was thinking the opposite, expecting to see that he was shooting an AK (lol?) to see if INFI will stand upto .50 AE.

lol, by VS, I meant it more like if we had to choose either which one to use or which one to have...
:)
