There is a much less expensive way to go -- reanodize them. This cost around $40 + shipping (which wasn't much at all):

"My guy" can do just about all the colors -- even black. I currently have my 940 at his place to get reanodized, plus the G10 scales and backspacer from my wife's 275 Adamas to get Cerakoted (he does anodizing, Cerakote, Duracoat, and I think KG Gunkote).

Sorry for bumping this ancient thread, but does anyone know who does this sort of anodizing service for scales?
