I have a like new Damascus (with a visible temper) Bowie by one of the all time classic MasterSmiths Al Barton, this knife is all business with excellent balance and a solid feel in the hand.

Blade width: ~ 1/4" at the spine.
Blade length: 9"
Overall length: 14"
Handle material: Cocobolo and stag handle, brass fittings.

Guys:

I know this knife very well and I'm here to tell you that it is a great bowie. Al was a fantastic mastersmith and would subject his blades to VERY abusive testing. This knife feels great in the hand and, if used, would really perform. It's a REAL bowie.
