Al Mar SERE 2000

Interesting. I checked the 707 out and really like it. The blade is a little bit longer but the overall length is smaller than the rsk mk1. Plus it weighs less. Do you know how thick the handle is on the 707, it doesn't seem to say on bechmades site but it looks thinner than the rsk mk1. Anyone one have an opinion on which is better? I'm chosing the 707 right now and am going to order it tonight unless someone sais otherwise in the next hour. Thanks for input.

edit: also how does 154cm steal compare to s30v?

edit: i made a mistake the 707 is actually longer by .1 inch

OK, I got my sere in and love it. Of course now I want something that is more people friendly(smaller) and something I can carry around work without weighing down my pocket. Would the ideal knife for this be the mini rsk mk1? It's light and much shorter in length than my sere 2k. Anyone recommend a knife around the size of the mini rsk mk1 that is better?(more durable maybe?, not familiar with how durable the mini rsk mk1 is) Any thoughts would be great, thanks.

Get the Mini Ritter Grip and then call or email benchmade and have them send you a clip from a Mini Pika knife. This will make the 'Grip ride much lower than the stock one. Not as low as the AL Mar, but close enough. This is my favorite EDC configuration because of the sheeple friendliness.

This recent thread discusses it:

I don't have the 707, but I'm sure it's good.

I DO HAVE, however, 7 Griptilians:

2 Ritter Mini Grips
1 Yellow Mini Grip
1 Black blade D2 Mini Grip
2 Ritter full-size Grips
1 full-size trainer Grip

Can't go wrong with the griptilians.

If you're interested, you can get the D2 mini grip from Cabelas (with a black blade, not usually my thing) for $70

Oh, and I carry at least one Grip every day!

I agree with everyone about the Sere 2000. I have 2 of the Vallotton conversions to D/A auto. It's a great knife and even better as an auto.

Well I went with the BM 707. Thanks for all feedback, I appreciate it. I'm sure I will end up ordering an ritter grip anyways. Thanks again.
