Beautiful pictures K KenHash !!

Also of note is that Moki made three versions of the Shiva

- Chinese Quince Burl Wood 25th anniversary edition (SV25) (2004 only, double edged, limited to 500 knives, black leather sheath although one prototype also had a burgundy leather sheath)
- Brown Micarta (SV-BNM) (swedge, unknown quantity but very rare, black leather sheath)
- Black Micarta (SV-BM) (swedge, well produced from 2004/5-2018, black leather sheath)

No workable poll because it's a personal fighter, and NOT a combat knife. With the full tang, micarta slabs, and the angle of the butt, tho not a true skull-crusher, it would still ring someone's bell in a BIG way if it were to impact their cranium, with FEELING!

Always liked the Shiva, don't know why I never got one.

And here is my updated Shiva collection!

I have added the SV-BNM recently :)

They are damn near impossible to find (harder than the SV-25) and I have no idea how many were ever made.

I was sooo bummed the other day when I went to Al Mar's website. I've taken about 8 years away from the online knife community and come back to find out that Al Mar knives are made in China now :\. I know China's making some really good knives now days but to me this completely kills the spirit of their knives.

I agree with you
This being said the Eagle Classic is pretty good.
Design Innovation though...

I was under the impression that Kelly Worden would be making new designs...

It's an unfortunate truth that many of the things we hear about will never be any more than just that, something we heard about, another in a long list that never came to fruition.

Merry Christmas guys!

I have decided to make a spreadsheet tracking every Al Mar Shiva 25th Anniversary Edition in existence.

The goal will be to track location, condition, price evolution, scope of delivery (box, sheath, etc...)

You can download it here:

https://archive.org/details/al-mar-sv-25-tracker

When I'll have more time, I will upload all the screenshots and pictures capturing the information that helped me in making this spreadsheet.

If you are the owner of one of these knives and it is not on the list please send me a PM with the following information:

Price
Condition
Location (country, state)
Date of purchase
Additional scope (Box, Sheath, Etc...)
Pictures including each sides of the knife as well as box and sheath if you still have them

For your privacy, I don't want to know any other information! :)

Do not ask me about somebody else's knife, if they want sell it they will let us know on the forum, not to me.

I do not want to buy your knife I just want to make a database for the community

I'll update the spreadsheet and share the data/pictures on archive.org for all to see

I own Shiva #479 out of 500. bought on Ebay long time ago, can't remember the price, I live in Oregon, knife is like new but no box or other paperwork. hope that helps

The Shiva is still one of the sexiest blades ever.....

I think a modern steel version would be awesome, not that laminated VG-10 isn't modern!!!!
Its still a great steel but some other " flavors " would have people swooning!!!!
