Beautiful pictures K KenHash !!
Also of note is that Moki made three versions of the Shiva
- Chinese Quince Burl Wood 25th anniversary edition (SV25) (2004 only, double edged, limited to 500 knives, black leather sheath although one prototype also had a burgundy leather sheath)
- Brown Micarta (SV-BNM) (swedge, unknown quantity but very rare, black leather sheath)
- Black Micarta (SV-BM) (swedge, well produced from 2004/5-2018, black leather sheath)
My hat is off! That is, or was, a beautifully crafted design exercise.
I was sooo bummed the other day when I went to Al Mar's website. I've taken about 8 years away from the online knife community and come back to find out that Al Mar knives are made in China now :\. I know China's making some really good knives now days but to me this completely kills the spirit of their knives. And here is my updated Shiva collection!
I have added the SV-BNM recently
They are damn near impossible to find (harder than the SV-25) and I have no idea how many were ever made.
