Al Mar ultra light brown micarta falcon talon (special run)

Yes the fallkniven is a fh9.

I really like the Boker Pocket Bowie.
I have some pics and vid in the Boker forum over here.
I have big hands and it has a 3 finger grip but it works fine.
It has "thick" handles ans very good ergonomics so it's a real user.

I think this Falcon size is nice for edc but also would like the hawk.
But the hawk has no pocket clip and i don't like pocket carry.
So i would have to make/ or buy a pocket sheath for it.
I think the eagle is to big. More "stiletto" like.
I like te looks of the talon blades better but the ffg have to be the better slicers.

Wonderful Al Mar. It is a brand that I would like to try since quite sone time. Elegant yet it seems sturdy enough, no tacticool aggressive styling, rather a clean no nonsense approach, exactly what I prefer. It does remind me of some larger Moki knives, another top brand that deserves more discussion.

That is one sweet knife. The brown really looks classy and "non-tactical".
Trying to get one myself, though that's gonna be hard here in Germany.

I'm not sure but I believe Moki and Al Mar are related somehow, maybe Moki makes some of Al Mar's smaller blades like the Osprey.. but don't quote me on that.

Thanks OP for the pics. I'm wondering though, does that pocket clip work on all ultralights, and even the classics on their lanyard holes, or are they specific to each model? Anyone got a clue?

Thanks~

I'll let you know later this week when my Falcon arrives!

Thanks for the pics. Looks like a nice knife. Right after seeing your post I went onto E-Bay and picked up an Eagle in black micarta. You are a bad influence on my knife budget!

I finally got a minute to take comparison pics of the Eagle, Falcon and Hawk. These are excellent knives IMHO. I wasn't so sure about the talon style blade on the Eagle, but I loved that brown micarta so much, I got it anyway. I'm glad I did cause the talon style definitely looks cooler and I don't think it sacrifices that much slicing ability. I would edc it, but it's too long according to the law here :-( Glad I got the FFG on the Falcon though. It's a perfect size. Love the Hawk too, but it's just a tad small even though that blade is a lot longer than it appears. I've also cut my thumb twice from trying to open it too quickly. The edge is very close to the thumbstud. Overall, great blades and I'm stoked to have all three! Sorry for the crummy cell phone pics, but I just wanted to show comparison shots.

The clips on the Falcon and Eagle are exactly the same except the one on the Eagle is approx. 1/4" longer than the Falcon. The Hawk has no clip. I suppose you could try threading the lanyard holes on it and the classic models, but personally, I wouldn't try it. I'm not really a fan of clips. I usually carry in the watch pocket on my jeans and sew part of my back pocket to fit the longer ones so I can always carry 2 blades.
