Al Mar Ultralight series

I had the Falcon. I am a big fan of Al Mar knives but not this one. It had pretty bad steel. If it was VG-10, it would help ALOT.

For the same $$, I would go with the Kershaw Gentlemans Folder in VG10

I wanted one with thumb stub opening. I know VG10 is rated higher than AUS 8A. But I think AUS 8A if properly heated treated should be acceptable, it is not a simple steel like 1095 and more elements than 440C.

I believe VG10 isn't allowed to leave Japan in blanks.
So all knives with VG10 blades are made in Japan.
