Hello!

It;s been a while ;)

Today I’d like to present one of my most unique creations. It was born from my search for new forms, techniques, and shapes that could push my style forward. After many sketches, I managed to reach a new level of dynamism in the design and lightness in the overall form. The shape—and the name—were additionally inspired by The Demon Cycle by Peter V. Brett, which I was reading at the time.

Let me introduce: “Alagai” This knife won the CEKE 2025 Honorable Mention Award.

The blade is made from 80CrV2 steel and is 1/4" thick. It features three different grind types—convex, flat, and an extra-deep hollow grind (cut on a 6" wheel). The blade is finished with a mix of acid treatments and cold bluing, and every grind is fully sharpened.

The guard, pin, and the pommel spike are crafted from antiqued steel, with the spike reinforced by an internal tang extension. The handle is made from hand-carved padauk wood, further darkened with dye to bring out the detail and depth.

The set is completed by a matching handmade sheath, crafted from hand-dyed and hand-tooled leather, reinforced with steel fittings and rivets.

The knife measures 14.4 inches in total length, with 8.1 inches of blade.

Price: $829 including shipping to US. I accept PayPal, Revolut, Wise or standard IBAN transfer.

Cheers!
Adam

Those were good books, petered out there a bit in the end of the series, though. Recognized it from the thread title alone!

That's a work of art there! Great job carrying the theme over to the sheath too!
