I'm sure yall have seen Alans custom Misery Whip blades. If not get over to the knife builder for sale forum his Antique Misery Whip Blades are awesome.

This post is not about those knives.

I decided I wanted to get my wife a knife for camping. So I emailed Alan about making a custom blade for me. He immediately emailed me back and asked for a phone conference. In about 30 minutes Alan talked me throught the process and we nailed down specs, and a relative price. The one thing we were shooting for was some cool Purple Micarta handles he was gonna make. So he found some Purple jeans and made up a set of scales and they look awesome. I
ll let yall judge the pics your self. Anyone looking for a good experience getting a custom knife built should look up Alan he does amazing work for a reasonable price and puts all the right extra steps in. You can tell he truly loves his craft.

Purple isn't for me,but that is cool that you were able to get a unique knife for your wife.
I have one of the misery whips & love it.Alan's a good guy & great knife maker alright.
And he does the best filework too.

That is a great looking knife (and sheath) and I have to say I like the uniqueness of the purple handle. I could easily see myself with a similar knife. Thanks. Mike
