This knife will do an excellent job on large game like moose, or duty on a camping trip or long hike where a tough, sharp multi-purpose design is needed.

Specs:

Steel- 5160 X 1/4
HT- In house tempered to a tested 58-59RC
AOL- 9 inches
Grind- Full flat ground with tapered tang
Blade- 4 inches tip to plunge with serrations on spine
Handle- 4 3/4 inches
Scales- Green canvas Micarta
Hardware- Stainless Corby Rivets and lanyard tube
Sheath- RH heavy leather shaeath was hand sewn and fitted for this knife.

I got this one today. It is a most impressive knife. I didn't appreciate just how massive this thing is! It is aptly named. Hatchet get lost? If you wanted to baton it through a moose pelvis it's up to the task. Very sharp and very nicely finished. If you wanted a prybar/pocket ax/skinner this knife is your answer.
With all of that is still falls nicely to hand. Nice knife!!:thumbup::D
 
I am realy diggin this knife! I realy like the curves & style and the whole overall package. Congrats to you both!
