Took about 10 days to get from New Jersey to Boson, but it was well worth the wait. Love the streak of blonde on the pile side. I feel so fortunate to have received one of these exceedingly special pieces of cutlery.

Yes, the shields sit to the left of center. I don’t think there is a technical reason for a shield to be off center. I think it is just a minor flaw. Perhaps as new versions of the Albers Cut. Co. knives come out with centered shields, we will be able to look at our knives and easily identify them as the first generation. Are you talking about the shield being slightly off-center? Maybe it's to give more clearance to the spring at the center pin.

Eric, how about chiming in.
Eric, your knives are pure quality and character and proud to carry mine as all those who own one here are. Merry Christmas to you and your family and have a prosperous 2021Well guys it's like this: When I initially set up the cutter I lined it up between the butt pin and the bolster pin, forgetting that the bolster pin was slightly off center. What a dummy, right? I actually hadn't noticed it with the first batch but I did see it with the second. It should be centered with the next batch. I have to do these corrections in the computer since I cut it out with the CNC cutter, so I'm doing it in baby steps. Should have everything straightened out by the time I retire
