Albers Cutlery Company

I’m excited to have one of these in jigged bone. Great fit and finish as always.

Lucky to grab my first ea42 ea42 custom from the previous run, in my favorite colors! The blue portions have sparkles in the mix that dance when turned in bright light. Perfect size, sharp blade, pinched bolsters, excellent walk and talk, grind looks excellent, impressively super solid due to old school construction ... no washers / soldered bolsters. A gift to slipjoint lovers at the drop price, a great carry knife even at secondary prices. Nice packaging, even an included pocket slip. I'm late to the party but on the hunt for more. Have a great weekend!

I thought I would post some pics to give a better idea of the size of these Albers knives. Thwe one shown below is from the latest drop, with amber jigged bone covers. The closest comp I have is a GEC 83. The one in the pics below is a lockback in what GEC calls dark brewed jigged bone. I think this pair makes a good comparison (except, of course, the lockback feature on the GEC).

The last picture is tryng to show how flush the half stop is. That might not matter to some. It does to me, and is one of the things that I see which typically distinguishes hand made from factory made.

One of the things I like about GEC is that they use a lot of high quality covers. Here, though, I vastly prefer the look of the jigged bone on Albers' knife.

Pictures can't tell everything, though. Once you hold one of Albers' knives in your hand, you can better appreciate what a quality item it is.

Eric’s jigged bone is some of the best looking I have seen.

I hope he considers some carbon steel knives down the road?……!
