Not that this will come as a surprise to anyone here who has dealt with him.
I had a problem(small inclusions) with some 5160H that I got from him and he sent me three times as much 1084 and 15n20 as a replacement, free of charge. The shipping to get it here is horrendous and he soaked that up too. That's not the usual treatment you get from most companies these days. If you are a knifemaker and not buying your steel from The Baron, give your head a shake. He's good people. Thanks much Aldo.

I order from his as well. I was trying to meet a personal deadline and the 1095 i received was the wrong size. I ordered 2x48 and I received 1.75x48 or something along those lines. I called them up and they shipped me the right piece. They didn't charge me for anything and even let me keep the 48 inch piece i had; his only comment was, "Just make cool knives with it". This isn't quite as impressive but as a poor college student I found this quite awesome.

Aldo's the first guy I call. Chuck is the second. I can't remember ever having to make a third call.

Yep, Aldo is cool. I ordered some 2" & 3" bars of 5160 from him and instead he sent 3" & 4" bars for the same price. I didn't wanna rip him off so I called to advise him of his error. He asked, "well you have a bandsaw don't ya?". When I said yes, he said, "well go make some knives". Thats 50% more steel than I paid for. Thats just the way he is. I love talking with him, he always makes me laugh. We as knifemakers are fortunate to have him as a reliable source of quality steel. I look forward to meeting him some day.

Edited to add kudos to Chuck & Jessica too.
