I think we are all waiting patiently. I got my KMG all put together and running, bought my drill press, and band saw, ordered belts from Pops and Tracey, now all I need is steel to get started. Kinda wishing I hadn't put all of my eggs in one basket when I ordered my steel and spent the rest of my budget. :grumpy:
Hopefully it will be done soon or I'll get the O1 I ordered from him.
OK, I feel like an a$$ after complaining last night. I got my O1 in the mail from Aldo today. Now I need to get off my butt and put my bandsaw together and get some blanks cut.
Gee,I love you guys. Bob,thanks for letting everyone know. I want you all praying tonight before you go to bed that we have no problems tomorrow with this roll. If it doesn't go off tomorrow I'll probably have a nervous breakdown
Between the roll date and the delivery to my place is usually 2 weeks. It's rolled first, than straightened, then shipped to Jersey where my rep gets it and cuts it into 4 footers, then loaded up and delivered to "Yours Truly".
I'd appreciate a little prayer as well. This load is going to put me in my grave.
Just an update on this. I chatted with Aldo last night...he's a really busy guy and hard to get a hold of.
It's coming, there have been some uncontrollable delays, but the train is still moving...be patient...
On another note, he's really busy working on something else that will be REALLY good for us all if he can get it to work out....if he doesn't kill himself trying to make it work.
If it's that secret that Aldo has already told me about, I've called dibbs on as much as my savings account can afford (or that I can hide from my wife). Now all I need to do is learn how to grind properly.
Aldo is the man!!! Let him work his magic. It takes a bit of work to do what he is doing and he is at the mercy of the mill. If someone is in dire need to make a knife out of 1084 PM me and we can see about getting you a fix.
If your not on a knife jones just be patient...like I said he is the man.

The steel is in PA getting cut. I didn't want to make any announcements until it was in my driveway but I figured we have all waited long enough. The load came to 9300 pounds this year. It was delivered from the mill to my distributor to be cut to length. One of the bundles was 4700 lbs. and needed to be restacked to fit under there saw or it would have been here tomorrow. As it stands we have a delivery date for Monday the 19th. Shipping will start promptly!!
If there are any more delays I am considering a small task force to go and rescue it. Do I have any volunteers?
Aldo
PS- Mace, thanks bunches. You are loved.
PSS- Do any of you sell rugs? I've worn a couple out and my wife would like them replaced.
