Alex Daniels/Larry Harley knives

First up for sale is this beautiful piece by Knifemakers Guild member Alex Daniels. This piece was made in the early 90's. This Subhilt Fighter has a 440C blade that is 7 1/4" long and it measures 12" overall. Creamy mastodon ivory handle w/ 416 SS guard and buttcap. The knife is in mint condition, never used, carried, or sharpened. Comes w/ leather sheath pictured.

Next is an another older piece from Knifemakers Guild member Larry Harley. made in the 80's. Fancy Hunter with an ATS-34 blade w/ a gold titanium nitrate coating. Blade is 5 3/8" long and it measures 9 3/4" overall. Fluted Snakewood handle w/ 416 SS bolsters. Engraving on blade and bolsters by Gary Allard. Filework on entire length of tang and on blade spine. No sheath comes w/ zippered case

Do you know much about Gary Allard? I have 2 pocket knives engraved by him. One is a CASE and the other a Schrade. Would these be something the manufacturer had done or do people generally buy knives and have them customized? Any idea on how many knives Gary did? I think I found his obit saying he passed in 2012 but could be mistaken.

Sounds like the buyer had it engraved by Mr. Allard. The only thing I know about him is he was from Virginia.
